Magento Migration

Migrate from Magento to Spwig

Leave the complexity behind. Products, customers, orders — the migration wizard handles your entire Magento catalogue automatically.

Get Started

Three Simple Steps

No developers needed. Just enter your Magento 2 API credentials and go.

1

Connect Your Store

Enter your Magento 2 store URL and Integration access token. The wizard connects directly via the Magento REST API and validates permissions before anything moves.

2

Preview & Customize

See exact item counts for every data type before import begins. Pre-flight checks validate API access, disk space, and database connectivity.

3

Import & Go Live

Hit import and watch real-time progress as your data transfers. EAV attributes are resolved automatically. Close the tab and come back anytime.

Built for Confidence

Magento migrations are complex. These features make sure nothing goes wrong.

One-Click Rollback

Roll back an import at any time. Spwig tracks everything it imported and removes it — keeping anything your store has come to depend on.

EAV Attribute Mapping

Magento's EAV custom attributes are automatically resolved — option IDs mapped to labels, attribute sets preserved, and custom fields converted.

Configurable Products

Magento configurable products are converted to Spwig variants. Parent-child relationships, options, and pricing all transfer correctly.

Background Processing

Large catalogues with thousands of products? The import runs in the background with batched saves. Close the browser and come back when it's done.

Smart Deduplication

Running a test import first? Products match by SKU, customers by email. No duplicates even across multiple test runs.

Image Migration

Product media gallery images are downloaded from your Magento server and stored locally on your Spwig installation.

Why Merchants Switch

Magento

  • Complex infrastructure requiring specialised Magento hosting
  • Extension marketplace costs add up quickly
  • Slow admin panel, especially with large catalogues
  • EAV architecture makes customisation developer-dependent
  • Magento 1 end-of-life; M2 upgrades are essentially rebuilds
  • Adobe Commerce licensing starts at $22,000/year
Spwig

Spwig

  • Runs on any Linux server with minimal resources
  • All 25+ features built-in, no extensions needed
  • Fast admin built for speed, even with large catalogues
  • Free and open source · no per-transaction fees
  • Simple one-click updates, no complex upgrade process
  • Complete data ownership on your server

Common Questions

Will my Magento store have downtime during migration?
No. Your Magento store stays live and untouched. Spwig imports a copy of your data via the Magento REST API. Switch DNS only when you're ready.
Does it support both Magento 1 and Magento 2?
The migration wizard connects directly to the Magento 2 REST API. If you're still on Magento 1, you can export your data as CSV and use the CSV importer instead.
What about my custom attributes (EAV)?
The wizard automatically resolves Magento's EAV option IDs to human-readable labels and maps custom attributes to Spwig custom fields with type conversion support.
What about configurable products?
Fully supported. Magento configurable products are converted to Spwig variable products with variants. Parent-child relationships, options, and inventory all transfer correctly.
How long does the import take?
Most stores complete in under an hour. Larger catalogues with thousands of products and images may take a few hours, but it runs in the background — close the tab and come back anytime.
Do I need technical skills?
No. The wizard guides you through every step. You just need a Magento 2 Integration access token, which we show you how to create in the setup guide.
